See that picture to the left? See that handsome man looking for something tool related (I have no idea about tools)? That’s my handsome knight who has been a blessing to me beyond measure! The man who has tirelessly supported every crazy idea I’ve ever had. One random evening I called and asked if I could buy a silly-named domain for a crazy idea I had. Unofficially launched in 2017, The Domestic Mombie is the product of my deep desire for a place for women to connect through seeking truth in the Bible. It’s a place for women to see they are not alone in suffering through anxiety. It’s a place for homeschooling mamas to keep it real. It’s also a place for Christian trucker’s wives to see how we can honor, respect, love and encourage our husbands from afar. Plus there will be recipes, homesteading adventures and random musings (most likely under the “Wine Glass” section of the main menu). I write about pretty much anything mom-life related.
Does this seem like a lot? Absolutely. Life is “a lot.” More often than not it feels like I just can’t chew everything that I’ve served on my plate (sometimes literally LOL). I used to journal all through high school as a way to cope and work out emotions, experiences and feelings. I know I needed a place to do this again, but I didn’t want to keep it all private (which is pretty bold since I’m actually a really private person). Through prayer I felt the push to share my experiences, how I felt, how I feel, and how I am overcoming the darkness. Guess what? I know that I am not alone in feeling this way! I stumble, I fall, I crawl, and then I get back up again, and I deeply desire our Father to use me to encourage you to keep getting up again too. I have listened the Adversary’s lies alone for long enough and, chances are, so have you.
I am The Domestic Mombie. I am the sleep deprived, caffeinated mama and wife stumbling through the God-led homesteading and homeschooling life. I am the beaming bride of my high school sweetheart and hard working trucker. Together we have 4 incredibly compassionate God-loving children and three boxers: Coco, Dallas and Rubble. Equal parts class and sass, I love coffee, planners, reading, good make up and printing freebies from the internet.
